Julián Salazar Espinoza Chichimec Culture Chichimeca was the name that the nahua people of Mexico, generacally applied to many bands and tribes, the Chichimec people carried the same sense as the Roman term “Barbarian” (that its a Word to describe people living outside. The most of the towns that Chichimec’s used to live were in Zacatecas, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, México, Acapulco, Antequera y Veracruz (in 1550). The Chichimec people were many groups of varying ethnicities and speaking distinct languages from different families. The biggest conflict between, Spanish vs chichimecas, The name of this war is The chichimeca war in “La gran Chichimec”(1550 – 1590). And the other conflict is Mixton Rebellion. It can be considered as a continuation of the rebellion as the fighting did not come to a halt in the intervening years.
